Lelainia N. Lloyd

Lelainia N. Lloyd
I decided to create a necklace to showcase all my beautiful charms from this swap. When I was deciding on what materials I wanted to use, I suddenly had a brainwave to use buttons! (Anyone who knows me, knows I have a button obsession!) I could link the buttons together and use the spare holes to hook the charms to it!
In order to make this necklace, I needed to delve deep into my button box and come up with white or cream buttons in varying sizes. Some of the buttons still had thread in the holes, which I just left because I love that! In addition to the buttons, I also needed lots of silver jump rings.
I made the necklace large enough that it would just slip over my head, eliminating the need for a closure. After I had the necklace made, I sorted the charms according to size and weight to be sure that it would be comfortable to wear and then attached them.

I'm really pleased with how this necklace came out. Now I want to make more jewellery with other buttons from my collection! (See? I told you it was an obsession!)
